Dr. Karl Gubert
Dr. Gubert is a native Michigander. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Animal Science from Michigan State University, an MS degree in ruminant nutrition from The Ohio State University and his doctorate in veterinary medicine from Michigan State. During his senior year of veterinary school, Doc took an externship in Great Britain. Doc is an expert in equine lameness and reproduction. He has travelled throughout the country and presented lectures on corrective horseshoeing. For several years, he was wrote a monthly article for The American Farriers’ Journal. Until recently, Dr. Gubert was active in breeding and showing Clydesdale horses. All Creatures Veterinary Service has been providing animal care in lovely downtown Metamora since 1994. When he is not working, Doc spends time restoring his BSA motorcycle, watching freighters on the Great Lakes and playing bagpipes. Look for him playing bagpipes for the launch at the Metamora Balloon Festival every year or at the opening of the hunt.
Toni Thomas
Veterinary Assistant
When you call the office, more than likely you will speak with our veterinary assistant and office manager, Toni Thomas. Toni has worked for All Creatures for 4 years. Raised in Dryden, Toni is a “local girl.” She lives with her husband and daughter in Almont. They have two dogs and two cats. When she is not at the office, Toni enjoys cooking and gardening.
Cathy Laich
Bookkeeper
Cathy is our trusty bookkeeper and has worked for us for 11 years. Cathy’s Father was a veterinarian in Lake Orion. She keeps all of our accounts in order and is irreplaceable. In her spare time, Cathy and her husband enjoy camping in their VW Minibus bus and they spend most of the winters camping in Mexico.
